Clerk's Responsibilities -- The Clerk's Office is structured to provide assistance to various departments of the Eleventh Judicial District Court*. It is also responsible for performing a number of non-judicial tasks, including issuance of Marriage Licenses, filing fictitious firm names**, swearing in of Notary Publics.
The Clerk's Office is also responsible for conducting all County Elections and is the Ex Officio Clerk for all County Commissioner meetings.
*The Eleventh Judicial District Court serves Lander County and Pershing County, as well as Mineral County.
** The County Clerk's Office does NOT issue business licenses - for Business License Application please contact the Assessor’s Office at 775 635-2160.
